Where We Serve: Asia
IMEC has supplied hundred of hospitals in over seventy countries around the world. IMEC helped doctors and nurses in Asian countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Ukraine.
Here is an example of the projects we've done in Asia:
Regional Hospital of Shirak, in Gyumri, Armenia:
with the Knights of Vartan
IMEC and the Ararat Lodge of the Knights of Vartan waved goodbye to a shipping container bound for the Regional Hospital of Shirak, in Armenia. Two months later, the container arrived in Gyumri, Armenia and the donated medical equipment was unpacked and put to work. Among the medical suites provided were a badly needed eye care suite, donated by Dr. James Fantazian and Dr.
Paul Barsam, and a patient care suite donated by Dr. Nishan Kechejian, who had closed his practice and
donated his entire office to the project. To the exam room suites we added several others, including a critical care suite, adding significant levels of patient care improvement to the Regional Hospital, which serves both the province of Shirak in Armenia and the neighboring province of Javakh in the Republic of Georgia. This was just one of several projects that IMEC has completed with the Knights of Vartan, and IMEC continues to work with them to improve health care in Armenia, one hospital at a time.
