Crisis in Haiti

Haiti Relief Fund

Many of Haiti’s hospitals and clinics have been destroyed. Hospitals in Haiti and along the Dominican Republic border have seen a major influx of patients injured in the earthquake. In collaboration with the government of the Dominican Republic and with the support of numerous humanitarian partners, IMEC responded immediately.

IMEC completed five projects to immediately address the health care needs of those affected by the earthquake.

Five 40-foot containers of medical supplies and equipment to five hospitals in the affected areas.

These shipments were comprised of 90 Medical Suites, including emergency, surgery and orthopedic care.

Within 3 weeks of the earthquake, all 90 Suites left our distribution center in MA, bound for hospitals and clinics in Jimani and Barahona in the Dominican Republic, and Belladare and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

As IMEC has done across the globe for the past 15 years, we will provide Haitian hospitals, including hospitals in Port-Au-Prince that we have worked with previously, with medical supplies and equipment that allow doctors to providing and improving health care for their patients.
