IMEC works in collaboration with sponsoring partners otherwise known as "Shepherds" to serve communities around the world, ("recipients"). For the last 20 years, IMEC has partnered with hundreds of organizations providing equipment and logistics solutions.
A typical partner (Project Shepherd) is an established humanitarian group, organization, or individual. The project partner works closely with an IMEC Project Coordinator throughout the entire project from beginning to end.
"A Project Shepherd is central to our work, without having someone to guide us through to turbulent waters it's very hard to get to the destination. IMEC provides equipment solutions for health care, agriculture, and education projects in developing countries. "

Identify the facility in need and confirm the Project Shepherd. IMEC collaborates with shepherds that are committed to the project and to advancing the standard of care in the identified facility
Working with an IMEC Project Coordinator the Project Shepherd will assess the facility and together will determine the scope of the project.
Once the assessment and project scope have been established, a Project Profile will be produced including the types and quantities of Suites necessary to fulfill the facility's needs. Upon acceptance and approval of the Project Profile by the Shepherd IMEC prepares the project for shipment.
When the building of all Suites is complete and the project is ready to be shipped, documentation is created and shipping arrangements are finalized. Once the container is loaded at IMEC, it is sealed and not to be opened again until arrival at the final destination.
