Giving back through service can be a deeply rewarding experience. Sharing your time and talent with those less fortunate around the world. We have found the IMEC Day of Transformation is unique in that the work of your hands will be shipped in a matter of weeks and the next hands to touch it will be that of doctors and nurses in impoverished hospitals and clinics. You directly touch the lives of doctors, nurses and their patients in the developing world. The result: lives saved.
We want you to have a fulfilling experience and want your team to get the most out of the day. When you arrive your volunteer group will be quickly oriented, broken into work teams, and put to work. You will receive guidance throughout the day from the IMEC team.
Opportunities available and what to expect include the following:
Appropriate attire, closed toe shoes loose comfortable clothing for an indoor workshop setting. The typical volunteer experience lasts 3 to 4 hours. Volunteers should come prepared to participate in light physical work.
We have many organizations that volunteer on a regular monthly, semi-annual and annual basis. Example: North Andover Rotary Club: The Interact club attends a Day of Transformation the second Saturday of every month. The group consists of 20 kids who attend North Andover High School and chaperones. They are a positive, energetic group that sort and build our medical supply Suites.
